As I'm late for a lot of things....I forgot the introduction.
Hello, my name is Harrison; and I have an addiction to all things wood and metal.
After retiring from metalworking, nowadays I have to do both.
Been woodworking since my Dad gave me a knife when I was five. Started whittling at first, but the craving for bigger and badder machines took hold. Ain't that how it always goes?
Slowing down, but not dead at 72.
As time goes on, you'll get to know me pretty well as I have a big mouth, and usually have an opinion on everything I know lots about. Learned everything by the seat of my pants, or "On the job training".
Compulsive reader, too. Enough Mechanical Engineering schooling to know better. Did my time in cabinet shops as a kid running lathes, shapers, milling machines, every type of saw, sanders, etc.
Everybody in my family worked in wood at one stage or another. I had to break away and go into metalworking, also.
I try not to offend anyone. Great forum here!
