Im not such a newbie when it comes to woodworking. I'm not all that experienced either. Have built some cabinets, remodeled my home, have a dedicated shop and some decent tools. I have never used a router as I was always intimidated. Now I have a makita, just ordered a table from Rockler and am ready to start. Hoping for some tips and help!!!

Welcome to the forum, Jeff.

You will find many tips in the posts.

Hi Jeff - my first router purchase was back in the 1980s - not sure then what I would use it for but over the years, my routers (now have a half dozen) are used in nearly all of my projects - you will quickly learn & appreciate the router - good luck! Dave

Jeff, the more you use your router the more ways to take advantage of it will occur to you. I know you will enjoy it.
