Default Newbie intro

Hello Everyone,

I've been wanting to pick up this hobby for a while now. Did a lot of reading online but never actually started making anything. My other hobby is fish keeping, especially planted fish tanks. I find it very relaxing. I am looking forward to fully utilize my Porter Cable router and make some interesting things.

Hi Peter - welcome to the forum!

Of my half dozen routers, 3 are Porter-Cable models from the venerable 691 & 310 models to the more recent 890, which is in my router table!

Hope that you enjoy - Dave

Hi Peter,
Woodworking may not be as stress relieving as planting aquariums, but it is addictive.

Hi Peter, and welcome! I, too am new to the forum, though have been playing in sawdust for about 13 years. It's a bit messy, but addictive, as Jon said. I do, however find it relaxing, because I can bury myself in my current peice, and forget what's goin on elsewhere.
