Default Buongiorno!

Buongiorno a tutti falegnami!

As my introductions might indicate, I live in Italy, where I have been living (and working) for the past 12 years or so.

I am, in theory at least, retired now and enjoying the fruits of many years of work - many more (I hope) years of work!

My background includes many years running a shop-fitting and exhibition construction company, so have acquired a bit of experience along the way. So much, in fact, that I can now use a shaper without (much) fear. I should add that I still have every one of my finger tips where they should be as well - although a few scars from the odd "close call", if you follow my drift.

So, hello. I can't honestly say that I will be a major contributor as; well, I'm retired so have very little time to 'play' on t'internet these days - it really was much easier when I was "gainfully employed", let me tell you!

A presto!

Hi and welcome, Peter. The edit button is at the lower right corner of your post.

Keep all those finger tips where they belong! I do know all to well about the scars as well!

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

Don't be afraid of the shaper Peter, be respectful. Keep your work area clean, use a dust collection system, use ear protection, be professional. NGM

Bienvenuti! Hope I spelled it right. Welcome to the forum. I had a teacher in high school in Brooklyn, NY, who was Italian. He said there are two kinds of people- those who were Italian and those who wished they were Italian.

Welcome to the forum.
My Father was from Sesto Calende and I'm very proud of the Italian heritage. Hope to see your work and share knowledge soon.
