Default greetings

Just registered and filled out profile. The wife asked me to make her a floor lamp and I figure the router crafter will be the tool of choice for this project. I have used mine a lot and just need to decide on the design of the lamp. Mission style probably. I see a lot of people on here have router crafters, but most are not using them.

Richard, go to Google books or project Project Gutenberg - free ebooks and they have a free 3 volume set of mission style furniture from the 20's and a floor lamp is in these. I do a lot of commission pieces in this style and these books are invaluable. Electronic versions only. or you can go to the Smithsonian and take a lot of pictures and fill out a lot of forms.

Thanks for that link. I am not able to get the illustrations to see the design. I have a design in mind for the lamp, but I see many other interesting projects, some I may tackle later. A very useful link indeed.
