Default Old router, new user

I have a Craftsman 315.174700 router that a friend loaned me.
He bought it at a yard sale with no manual.
I want to use it to make a sign.
Since I have never used a router before, where can I get some basic info about safety, installing bits, setting up, turning on, making cuts, etc.

By the way, shouldn't use your email address as a user id unless you want a lot of spam!

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
