Hi Mario - welcome to the forum!

Well, you sound like a much younger version of me! I'm a retired academic radiologist - have been doing woodworking for decades, but now have more time to indulge!

Good luck w/ your studies and I hope that you have some time for woodworking, too!

Thanks Lee, James and Dave for your Welcome! =)

Dr. Dave, is glad to know that the time expended in woodworking increase with the age or I'm wrong?=D
By the way, can I ask why did you choose that image? Looks great!

Hi Mario - well, may depend a lot on the specialty you choose and how busy you are as a doctor; for myself as an 'academic radiologist', I probably worked 50-60 hrs a week w/ 2-3 free weekends a month, so plenty of time to get in some woodworking, although I must say that in retirement, there will be a LOT of time to do many things. Now if you become a busy surgeon working 80+ hrs/week, then there will not be much free time, especially if you're married & have a family that wants your attention.

I worked in the Department of Radiology @ Wake Forest University Med Ctr in the 'Abdominal Section' - my main specialties included gastrointestinal radiology (hence 'giradman' which I use on a lot of forums) and abdominal ultrasound (which is another login name for me, i.e. 'sonicman') - so the image simply reflects my career interests.

Hope this helps - and again, good luck w/ your medical career and w/ woodworking! Dave
