Default B&d 3310

Dear friends:

I had a list of parts and instructions to use my B&D 3310 router with 1/2" bits like the DW 610, but lost it when I moved. I know that this is not to much of a problem, but I don't want to make a mistake and be sure of how to from you experts again.

I thank you very much in advance,

Pablo (Mexico City)

Pablo what is it that you are trying to do besides just putting in a bit and turning it on?

A quick google search found this...

Black & Decker Manufacturing Co., Ltd. - Publication Reprints - 3310 Black & Decker 1 HP Router (Form 62119-08) | VintageMachinery.org

I also added it to the router reference section of this forum.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Hello James. I want to use my B&D 3310 like a DW610. Everything is the same, except that the 610 has also a 1/2" collet and the 3310 don't.

Hi Pablo, it seems that your router only has 1/4" or 3/8' collet, not 1/2 ".

What do you mean, "I want to use my B&D 3310 like a DW610"?

Hi James. What I mean is that I used my friend's 3310 modified with 1/2" bits. Originally the 3310 is only for 1/4" bits, but some time ago he made the modification an he used it with both 1/2" and 1/4" bits for a long. He gave me the list of parts I needed to change in order to fit the collets for both sizes, just like you can do with the DW610. I thank you very much your answer. Have a very happy Christmas and a excellent 2013.
