Default Introduction - new member

I was referred here by Oak Park, Ltd when I called to ask for help with a project I am making as Christmas presents for family members.

My woodworking is done as hobby now, just making stuff for family and friends. I was introduced to routing by Bob Rosendahl of Oak Park years ago at woodworking shows in southern California. Having moved here to the Wichita KS area four years ago, I have been involved with building our house and have attended only one woodworking show (by Kansas City) a few years ago. Did buy another router then (it's still in the box), but haven't had the time to build a table and put it to use (my house is still not completed, still working on putting up sheetrock in the basement and have more trim to mould).

Looking forward to learning.

Welcome to the forum Al.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Hi Al - welcome to the forum!

Good luck w/ the house, too - my father (now gone) built his first house in the late 1950s (in my early teens) in southern MI - I helped w/ that one (guess my introduction to carpentry); my family (not me this time - working, married, and living in NC) then moved to AK in the early 70s and he built a couple more houses (first near Little Rock & then after a move in Hot Springs) - so I know the time & effort that go into such projects!
