Default Building sliding doors

Looking for hardware to build a couple "barn style" sliding doors. I can get the flat bar stock at supply houses, but the wheels are hard to locate.

Welcome aboard Theron. Seems to me like the Tractor Supply store in our town has them. Farm supply stores in general would be a good bet, followed by garage door shops.

You could also check with your local Ace Hardware. I work for Ace for a number of years. I my area we always stocked the barn door hardware.

Why won't companies put prices on their items? I really hate that. It makes me think they change prices depending on how they read the customer, for one thing. For another, I wonder how heavy the sales pressure will be if the company itself thinks the price will turn you away.

LilRdWagon - what price range are we looking at for barn door hardware?
Rustica Hardware has selections ranging from $330 or so for the combination of track plus wheel.

Welcome. A good lumber yard should be able to get the hardware you need.

Default Tractor Supply

I built insulated double sliding barn doors to separate my wood shop from the rest of my garage. The round rail barn door hardware from tractor supply worked great. The rails come in 8, 10, and 12 foot lengths and they will hold any weight door you build. Good price too.
