Default Newbee form Australia

Hi my name is Bob Hood and I have just found the forum and signed up . My router and wood working experience is minimal but I like working with timber . My Router is a Makita 3600br.
I am a retired Australian Soldier for 22 years who was Special Forces with the Australian Spacial Air Service Regiment based in Western Australia. I retired in from them 1992 and joined the Western Australian Police Service and served with the Tactical Response Group until final retirement in 2008. Now I just relax and play around in my shed and on my small property just out of Perth in Western Australia.

The main species of timber here in Western Australia is Jarrah which is used in the building and furniture trades.

Welcome to the forum

I was in Perth many years ago while in the U.S. Navy. Love your city and I never passed up a chance to spend some time on duty or off duty with my Australian Brothers in Arms. I have a lots of stories about those days, but I will boil it down to "we had way too much fun..."

Welcome to the forum Bob from Rockingham (WA)! Amongst my routers is a Makita 3600BR which I have permanently mounted on skis. It will be to your advantage to complete your profile because in a day or two this page will have fallen off the end.

Welcome Bob.

I served with Kenny Tyndall in Vietnam with 3RAR who later joined the Regiment. Perhaps you know him.

Best regards Jeff (Brisbane)
