Question Ryobi 150 1/4" collet

Hello everyone, I have just signed up as this forum looks like fun. I have an old Ryobi R150 router handed down from my dad and the collet broke . As it has sentimental value I would rather fix it than replace it.... does anyone know where I can get a replacement collet and collet nut that doesn't cost a fortune. I live in Italy so European suppliers prefered to keep shipping and import taxes down ... US not excluded as I visit occasionally. . Thanks Bruce
PS looked on EBay.UK and cheapest I can find for just the collet alone is 75 (I can get a new router for that)

Hi, Bruce. Welcome to the forum.

Almost no chance on older Ryobi parts unless you can find another router for parts.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Hi Bruce. Welcome to the forum.

Spare parts for very old routers are very hard to find.

I would keep it on a shelf as a souvenir, and buy a new router if that is what you want.

Thanks gents for your input, will keep it on a shelf for the memories and as suggested and shop for a new router. No use fixing it as risk is other parts may wear out soon too.
