As you can see I am new to this site. I found you because I am having a time figuring out how to route out the grove for the tambour in a roll top desk I am making. Sides for the top are done but ....... help?

Hello Doug. Welcome to the forum.

One of the magazines had an article on that subject a while ago [Woodsmith ?] but I can't lay my hands on it at the moment.

This last months issue of Fine Woodworking has an article about making tambour doors. Your best bet would be a pattern and use a template guide or bearing guided pattern bit.
Welcome to the forum.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

I did a search in google for roll top desk plan and this came up;

http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...54934254,d.dGI

You may be able to find this and use this.

Also, Fine Woodworking #79 has plans for a Roll-top desk.
