Welcome to the dust-making gang, Dave. By making your own router table you can make it the size and height as well as features that you like. I have posted on this site several times about making router tables. I make both portable ones that I can take to job sites or sit it on the workbench in the shop and I make full size tables. It generally takes me 3 or 4 hours to make one. I either use Baltic birch or American birch that is approximately 3/4" thick. If I am going to use a router plate (which I generally do) I lay it on the workbench and build the table upside down around it using pocket screws that will be on the bottom side to hold the plywood together. I double the plywood for the top. I also put a power strip or toggle switch on the outside for ease of controlling power. I have different fences for different projects. One of my tables has a top that I purchased and I cut the hole for the plate and groves for the miter gauge, but all the others are shop made. I am an engineer type that loves to create things - including router tables. The plate levelers I get from Woodhaven. I hope this info helps you and good luck. Malcolm / Kentucky USA
