Default Router base for dovetail jig

Hi,
I am a novice woodworker here in lancashire uk and have a small makita router trimmer rt 0700cx2. I have a problem in that to fit the supplied bush guide for a dovetail machine I have to use a trend unibase but the base is so big it limits the size of wood I can use to 19mm (3/4'). I tried using a makita bush guide but the fit was too loose. Any suggestion? The dovetail jig is from screwfix.

Hi Duncan, what make/model dovetail jig are you using. Is Screwfix a one store brand?

According to their manual, what size bushing do you need?
