Default Hello from Texas

Hello from Angleton, Texas. I am new to the woodworking community. My 12 year old son has been wanting to do some projects and build things so I decided to go ahead a give this a try. He is pretty good with his Lego's and decided he wanted to step it up a knotch. I have been doing the basic woodworking stuff for years but nothing too involved. My hobbies are the great outdoors. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and shotgun sports with my kids. I work for a chemical plant and my wife is a dental hygienist. My son competes in swimming and Tai Kwon Do and my daughter is in a puppet ministry and competes in the 4-H shotgun sports. Thanks, Steven

Welcome to the forum Steve.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Texan from Alaska and one that is interested in so much of what seems to be what you are in to. I'm in Colorado City, keep us posted on how things go for you and your son.
