Default New to forum

My name is Terry and I'm new to this forum. I'm a retired civil engineer and a beginning/intermediate woodworker. Never used a router very much and am looking fwd. to learning how to use one.

Whilst the router is quite capable, it has its limitations.
Within its working envelope, it is magic.
Have it milling table tops, drilling holes, and doing achitectural cuttings and you may face adversity.
It is fundamentally a trimmer. You waste with bigger tools and let the router get you to net-zero.
Example, most of these cuts are trim cuts.
These fellows know everything there is to know about routers.
