Default Introduction

Hello everyone. I'm rekindling the interest I developed in woodworking during my preteen and teen years after raising a family and pursuing a career. I'm in the process of creating my shop in a large unfinished basement and assembling the tools to start making sawdust! First project is to build the workbenches and cabinets I need to store tools and provide work surfaces. Then I owe my wife a sewing table!

A woodworking friend introduced me to the Festool system a few months ago and I quickly burned through my tool budget buying a few Festools. I'm going to the Festool fundamentals school in June where I hope to gain some insight into my new router. Plus I hope to take a course at the John C. Campbell Folk School this summer and attend the Woodworking in America Conference in Winston-Salem in September.
