Lightbulb Craftsman 315.17480 Router

For a quick solution for my Sears Craftsman Model 315.17480, went to NAPA and purchased a 1004 bulb... $2 and change. Had to grind the top lip on the bakelite bulb holder about 1/8", for the 1004 bulb to fit in the socket. Then went to SuperBrightLeds.com and ordered an 1142 BA15D LED Retrofit bulb rated at 365 Lumens. Now can see clearly the surface being routed, as it is really white and really bright light. Almost night and day difference between the filament 1004 and the LED 1142.

Welcome to the forum! This situation sounds like an opportunity (read that as excuse) to buy a new router.
