Default New member and new to woodworking - Hello!

New member and new to woodworking. I have decided to adopt woodworking as hobby as I enter my later years. I've wanted to do woodworking for more than 25 years, but never had the time, the knowledge, and the tools to do so.

The internet has changed all of that. I don't feel that I need to apprentice out to a cabinet shop now to learn the craft. I can start slowly, and learn as I go along with many different sources of information, including this forum. I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

I have recently purchased a router table and gear and a 10" table saw. I plan to add a jointer, planer, dust collection, band saw, drum sander, and a few smaller pieces in the coming months. My interest is in fine joinery and cabinet making.

I plan to build garage cabinets, roller tables, and some specialized vaping boxes this year, while I turn my garage into the shop of my dreams! So, this is a dream come true. I did quite a bit of gunsmithing 25 years ago (another hobby), so I think I'll be capable of craftsmanship with practice.

Anyway, glad to say hi and introduce myself. I'm Bill by the way. Good luck to you all, and wish me luck!
