Default Hi! New member

Just wanted to introduce myself and maybe get some help. My name is Ron and I live in Trophy Club, TX, about 20 miles from Fort Worth. I wouldn't call myself a novice at woodworking, but it is not something I do on a regular basis. It's a hobby every now and then, usually when I decide to tackle a project, which I really enjoy doing. My projects are usually fixing things and usually that involves making new or replacement parts. I love working with tools and figuring out how to build something rather than buy it. Anyway, under a new thread I'll ask you guys for some help on my current project.

I'm in my late 60s and I forgot to tell you my main hobby is teaching people to fly airplanes. I'm a flight instructor.
I don't have a woodworking shop but do have a good collection of tools in the garage. I'm sure the other members have "been there/ done that" when I struggle to get my router to do what I want.
Ron

Good morning Ron- welcome
I learned to fly in a PA-28 many years ago but gave it up as too expensive with kids. Got into something cheaper-old cars. Not really cheaper. Belonged to EAA for many years and wanted to build my own plane but never got that far. Now down to 3 old cars and considering maybe building some type of" old and slow" from the 20s-30 s.
