Default Introduction: new member

Hi Gentlemen and Ladies,

I have just now joined this forum. The reason: I was given a new Triton TRA001 as a gift just when I started working on the router table part of my new mobile workshop. I have used a hand-held router for many years, but have not had any experience at working with a table mounted machine.

I hope to learn from the accumulate knowledge and experience of this group, and eventually to also start contributing to new knowledge here.

Regards!
Lucas

Hi, Lucas; welcome! Lots of South African members.
Not sure how you'd do a search specifically(?).

Welcome to the forum, Lucas.

Take care on the table mounted router, it can take a piece of timber out of your hand very quickly.

Thanks all for the welcome, and the advice. I am certain that I'll be asking a lot of questions as soon as the Triton is mounted.

A welcome from Wilderness as well Lucas - if you're ever down our way, visit the George Woodworkers stand at the Outeniqua Farmers Market on a Saturday morning - we're always happy to meet kindred souls

Welcome to the forum Lucas. There are quite a few You tube videos where table mounted routers are used. You could learn some tips from watching those.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
