Default Roman ogee for butcher block

I would like some help with a problem. I am making a 2.25" thick solid cherry butcher and want to rout a full roman ogee on the edge. I need a huge roman ogee bit, where can i find one? Please help

HI mnzebrasky

I think you will need to use two diff. profile bits to do what you want to end up with..
I don't know of any of the mfg. that make one to cut a 2 1/4" high OG..

what bits do you suggest for this task? What would be the process?

The bit would be round over and a round nose..
1st. the round nose then the round over bit.

Norm A. of the NYWS made a corner chair and use the same bits to get the look you want ...

You will most likely need 3 bits to get the ogee profile to fit. A cove, a round over and either a straight or rabbeting bit for the small ledge cut. Rockler offers bits in the needed sizes; while they are not top quality they should work fine for your project.
