tulowd what an awesome shop, great work. The 240V is one of the first things I did in my ghetto 13x25 garage. heater, welder, air compressor, plasma cutter.....and in your case - the hoist that is likely going in for your car project.
In terms of costs, I use dryer or range cords that are relatively inexpensive, along with one adaptor I made up to plug the heater in at one of the two outlets. The ends are about $10, the dryer cords are maybe $25; so it can be done fairly inexpensively.

The boat and tractor are hopefully out of the shop by now.

It would be a major improvement, as things are really tight right now .
My sister built a shop on her acreage, and it was 40 by 60 with 14 foot ceilings . Talk about having decent room. That would be close to my dream shop

Rick, 26 x 32 would be better.

Dustin, you and your dad have done a great job building this shop. I built a shop very s(24 X 32) similar to yours. I blew a lot of insulation in the walls and ceiling. Mine was a pole barn so I had 8" of insulation in the walls and about 18" in the ceiling. In the hot summer time, I could turn off the AC (window unit 110) and it would stay cool all night. You can rent the blowers from one of the big box stores for nothing if you buy the insulation from them. What I am trying to say is don't go cheap on insulation in your shop. I also used OSB board for the shop walls. It reflects light good and looks good plus you have something to drive screws into to hang cabinets. Seeing your pictures brings a lot of memories back, all good. I sure would like to see pictures, inside and out when you are through.

At this point 24x30 is way too small.

I need to build two more barns. One to hold the tractors and one for the boat. But, there's this thing called money, so I work around the clutter.
