furboo Mike, I was worried about the graphics card on my laptop, too. At least on the Mac, 2017 installed without touching 2016, so I could always go back to 2016 very easily.

Thanks. I think I tried all the display combinations but I will check again. The 2015 version works just fine... as does every other application on the computer. Somebody decided to put the screws to me in the 2016 version!

This is a laptop I am working on with a 22 inch monitor hooked up to it. After reading all the updates and changes for 2017, I am wondering if my laptop will even pass the graphics card requirements.

I will try to 2017 version and see if I have any better luck. I like the help for color blind folks like me, although I am only partially color blind. Yeah, I know. It's tough on a photographer especially the red/green stuff.

furboo I just downloaded it yesterday, too, after 2016 said it was available. I also had some trouble downloading, but after a couple tries, finally got it. Changes since 2016 are here:

I just received an email with a link to, and after the third try, have successfully downloaded Sketchup 2017. For personal use there is a period of 30 days free use of Sketchup Pro, then the free version thereafter.
