bobj3 They make ring adapters just for the job, most are use to step up the size to 5/8" the normal size for saws, they sale them at bearing outlets the norm..you will also see them in saw blades ( snap in/out type)

Yes, more info is needed on the tool. However, if the shaft size is 9/16, then the pulley will also be 9/16.

replacing a worn pulley

My saw's shaft measures 9/16 inch diameter. I am told that this is an odd size? What should the bore of a replacement pulley be ?
