bobj3 Hi

I don't have the 1700 Freud but I have a 2200 in the router table and it works very well ,with the vac.tube is in place,I like to use it in the router table if I want the chips to go down the router bit hole when the pin router device is in place or doing dado's..

======

Hi - I have the same setup. The dust chute works very well. I needs to be installed with the exhaust chute OPPOSITE of the height clamp. Exit is out of the front of the router so to speak. You will need to leave the subbase on the router but it has a long enough armature shaft to still allow above table bit changes.
Hope this helps

George II Adam,

I have the 1700vec mounter in the table with the dust chute attached it works just fine.
After I have my second cup of coffee I'll go to the shop and see if I can suss out cause of your problem.

Freud FT1700 table mounted router - dust collection

Does anyone out there have an FT1700VCEK mounted in a table? If so, did you use the included plastic dust collection shroud? It appears that this shroud limits the upward movement of the router. If I install it, will I still be able to change bits from above the table? Thanks in advance for your input.
