I had never considered a FIXED magnifying glass Mike, it was the thought of keep picking up a hand hand one that put me off. Perhaps, depending on the results of a stress test that I'm having next Wednesday, I could well reconsider an Incra system. But then again, this is a router forum and it's been a while since I presented a routing project so perhaps that should come first.

John, absolutely no offence of any kind was taken, my answer was meant to convey what I thought was a good idea, presents.

harrysin Thanks for that link Levon, It's made the decision for me, without an Incra system I wouldn't think it's worth the trouble using alternative methods. I've always considered the Incra to be a great system but my eyesight isn't good enough to read the graduations.
