Wow, really? Man what a crock of .... that comes up to 17% off a $20 rebate.
This is the first I've heard of this type of thing but I'm glad I went with a PC router instead of Triton now.

Mike This is the latest scheme to steal money from us. If someone offers you a card instead of a paper check laugh at them and pass. That's the only way to convince merchants that offering a $15 gift card which has a $1 processing fee isn't going to work. (recent rebate on a video card)

DJMikeT That sounds odd, I've obtained many rebates from various vendors for different things and have never had that happen. Did you contact Triton about it??

Triton rebate

2 weeks ago I received my $20 rebate on my router.... It came in the form of a Visa gift card... I carried it until yesterday, and used it for breakfast.... The server brought it back to me and said there was only $16.66 left on it....
This is apparently a Visa scam.... So, if you get one of these cards from anyone, use it ASAP....
