Hi
I'm new at this so it may take a while to understand just how to post. I am assuming that this is how I ask for information.

I need to replace the interior panel in an exterior door. The panel is hardboard or Masonite. It has "pasted by" to say the least. It is a cottage style. Some years ago, I replaced the exterior panel with plywood. It has proven to be a good choice. A quarter inch plywood panel is to thick. I had used a rabbet around the edge and the center window opening. It has been some years and I have forgotten how I did it.

I am somewhat worried about rabbeting plywood. I could see how I might destroy the panel which would waste the entire plywood sheet.

If there are posts as to how to use the router to rabbet plywood (thin plywood), I would be greatful.

thanks
