Default Sea Captain....

Hi all. been busy with some household remodeling projects and then trying to get my isp provider to keep me online. Spend more time down than on lately.

Here is my first full figure I have done in awhile.... and he does have a full figure He is about 7 inches tall and 2 3/4 wide. Carved from basswood. I am working on getting him painted up but here are some pics in the nude. I may make this one part of a scene. I plan on entering him in the club show judging in late October. I have about a dozen pieces to finish for the show so i have to get to making chips!

Thanks for looking as always.

Corey

Is it going to be a saloon scene like in the one from wood Mag? Or are you going to do the deck of a ship?

Corey,

Looks better than some of the Captains I work with, (but we can't have beards).

Great project!

Thanks fellas, I am glad you like it. The pattern was designed by an east coast carver in Mass. I think he has seen his share of ship shorn gentleman. He has carved many of them I think. Thanks again for the kind words.

Corey I do not know what it takes to win that upcoming competition, but I do believe you will be giving it a real go.

Breath-taking Corey. I have noticed how your creations are getting bigger with each new one. I think full size head and shoulders of people you know won't be far off!
