Default Hobo Scene Completed....

Well I finally got it all done. Both figures painted and mounted, base made and painted etc. All carved from basswood. The figures are 6 1/2 and 7 inches tall, 2-2.5 inches wide. All painted with acrylics and sealed with satin lacquer. I learned a lot doing this I can tell you that and I am ready to move onto something else ! Hope you like. I will be taking this to our club show in Omaha at the end of the month. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. Your thoughts and comments welcome!

Simply Brilliant!

Corey, if that don't win the show, nothing will. I love the solitude of the scene with just the 2 hobos and the open fire.

You done good....... VERY good!

We will see I guess. Bobj, I thought about the burn barrel for quite a while and it took me 3 tries to get the fire right, next was the barrel!

Way to go, Corey! You are a true artisan. I wish I had just a tenth of your artistic talent.

Hi Corey,

You should be very happy with that! Few people possess the talent you have displayed and some who have it have not fully developed it. You should be very grateful for the gift you have, I know I am. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us. It is truly awesome!
