Default Smiling Santa...

Here is another one that I have been working on and just finished up the paint and mounting him. He is from a roughout blank and it's also the one in the current carving magazine. It's a cool Santa pattern I think... that classic Santa look. Anyway, he is about 8 inches tall mounted, painted with acrylics and finished with oil and satin lacquer.

Thanks guys, I think this is my favorite. I have one more to paint up and get mounted, he is a little on the large side

Thanks Fabrun, I got a 1st place ribbon on this one. I gave it to my mother-in-law. She helped me out at the show since my wife was out of town. So it's still in the family.
