Default Eastern Bluebirds

After practicing on Baltic birch plywood for a while I finally got up the nerve to try a burning on a basswood oval . I figured . . what the heck . . the wood is thick enough that if it didn't turn out good enough I could sand it all off and be able to start over again. That seems to be an advantage of using solid woods versus thin veneers on top of lower quality wood which might not be thick enough to sand off .
The basswood was a lot nicer to burn on than the BB .

I didn't try to do any shading in most of this one because being bluebirds , I felt that some coloring would bring this one to life more than just shades of brown .
I have not got any coloring supplies yet . When I do , I will do some coloring practice on this one.

Thanks for posting that Bill. The grass came out real well. I am partial to wild life so this one really gets to me.

You truly have a special talent and the ability to display that talent, very well done.
