Default photobucket replacement

I've uploaded an album of my boxes onto imgur in an attempt to be able to insert pics again since there is no way on this earth I will pay photobucket.

If someone would do me the favour of looking and reporting back on any possible problems or general comments I would be grateful.

I have had one response complaining about the bad language on the site, but I think he was surfing the rest of imgur, rather than just my album.
Of course this site is free, so there are ads. My ad blocker tells me its keeping 37 off my screen, so please dont look if you DONT have an ad blocker running.
Thanks
Bob

I just scrolled threw a bunch of your pictures Bob . They look great as always , and I seen no issues , blockers , adds etc, just great looking boxes . I subscribed there a while back , so maybe people visiting see the adds ?
You do know you can post a url link from there to display your pictures on this forum , just like we used to do with Photobucket .
I find it’s a little tougher for me to figure imgur out , but I get it eventually

I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

Rick, thats exactly why I went to imgur. the site is not intuitive. I had to put two help requests in just to get as far as that album, But to be fair, the replies were the right ones, even if it did take 2 days for each reply.

Its almost the same as photobucket as far as grabbing an image and posting, but like so many computer software programs, all the things normal people want to do are in hidden menus and in tech speak gobblede gook.

Well at least we can post pics again . Not that you can’t off your HD I guess .
I find Imgur is far more stable and much faster.
I had nothing but issues with Photobucket , as it would freeze up regularly. It’s like they had no bandwidth from the isp. Probably because they don’t want to pay more than they had to

Panic over as far as the bad content. The guy who complained had seen my boxes, then went surfing the rest of imgur, to find out for the first time what an unmoderated site looks like. Completely beyond my control and does not affect my pics.

This site does allow pics to be uploaded direct from the hard drive, but it takes a couple of moves. My main reason for going to imgur is that another site I use most has a tiny picture aloowance, only 250Kb per pic and that really IS a pain in the arse resizing.

I have been using IMUR for several years now and was happy to get away from Photo Bucket. All I do is store my pictures there so I don't know about bad language.

Measure once cut twice and it's still to short.

Bob,
It worked fine for me. You gave me a good idea, the sharpening stone box looks much like mine, I think I will put a hinge and clasp as you did.

I made the sharpening stone box as a keepsake for my son, who is a carpenter shop /fitter. My dad had one exactly like it when I was a lad almost 60 years ago.

Bob:

Enjoyed the post. Great boxes as always.

The site can be a bit confusing as selecting "next post" as opposed to scrolling sends one off into la la land. But once that's sorted, no issues.
