Beautiful Herb. Holy is hard to come buy I have heard. Did you cut it down yourself?

Measure once cut twice and it's still to short.

@hawkeye10
No,I didn't.
One of our past vice presidents of our woodworking club past away and his wife called me to see about getting rid of his wood stash. There was some alder Walnut and aromatic cedar. the holly was in a box and it looked more or less like firewood. We bought the lot from her including the Holly. It was a shrub they had cut down several years ago and he had resawed it into slabs, coated it all 4 sides with paraffin and put it in a box in the back of the shop. When it dried,it twisted every direction, it was a real challenge to figure out what to make out of it. I still have some that I am pondering what to make.

I like them, I think this was a good use for those chunks of holly.

Excellent work. Really like that mantle clock. The live edges really set it off.
