Default Interesting corner treatment for a picture frame

Because the "picture" was for sale, I did not want to photograph the complete work. Hopefully this shot of 1 corner will generate some interest. I can say that the frame was approx 10" x 12" and gave the appearance of a continuous piece. Close examination shows that not to be the case but the joint is a tight one.

so tight it looks molded.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

The corner is one piece. the joins are way back. The top bar has an obvious diagonal join almost at the left edge of the picture. the lower join is there, follow the diagonal from the top join down and across.

@sunnybob - good eyes Bob. If the maker had cut his diagonals in the other direction, the miter would have been even more hidden by the orientation of the grain

Definitely good eyes. I had to go back to the original photo and blow it up to see that.

Don't forget to order the model with Braille controls and tape measure.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
