Very nice job Jon. I am trying to see if the whole board is end grain or partially.
I just received three boxes of hard wood cut offs that I ordered from both Amazon and from Ebay.
I am pleasantly surprised and the caliber of different woods that I received. Of the three different venders,
only one of them sent a couple of boards that have small bad spots on them. Nothing that I can't work around to make cutting boards.
As soon as it warms up a bit, I will get out to the shop and take some pictures of the wood I received.
The nearest shop with hard wood scraps in in Houston 55 miles away and rather high dollar.
I paid around 25 dollars for each box, which is a postal box and well filled with mixes of hard woods.
It might be a crap shoot when you order this way, but for 3 out of 3, I did pretty well.
I'll probably order more this way.
I want to make a 3D end grain board for my wife for Christmas. I'll post what comes out of this first attempt.
Theo says I have to post what ever I do no matter how it turns out. But then, how would he know. This is just between you and me.
again, that is a very pretty board Jon. What did you use for the feet on the back?
When the enemy is in range, so are you.
