Alexis,

Good job. I also have the PC690, but have not had a problem with the knobs. I will keep this solution in mind in case a problem occurs.

Goooooo Alexis!!!!! Necessity is the mother of invention. That's how I grew up -- we made and fixed things -- because there was either no money or supply to be had. Hats off off to you.

I think I have 5 PC 690's, and the shop I used to work at had about 20. I've never seen a broken knob.

As good as new Alexis.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Hello Gerry.

I have three of them and have had no problems never before with them. I searched in the web and found some fails due to the knobs. I also looked for spare knobs and the price was very high so I decided to make two out of wood.

Nice work Alexis. Now that the router is part of the “Signature Series” it is worth twice as much.

Enjoy!

I wonder how much the PC Custom Shop would charge for this upgraded version. 😄
