Default Hope Hummers Like Oak

I thought I'd get started on some Christmas gifts.

This is full 1" thick Red Oak and it will be cut into the square bottomed and round topped shape drawn on the board. Then a 45° bevel will be added for the front edge and 1/4" round over for the back. The bird and the letters will be painted black.....but not before I go back and clean up the letters and fix the "O". Everything has been cut using my SC50 bit.

It will be sealed with several coats of Helmsman Clear Glossy Urethane when finished.

I am sorry but I can't recall which member gave me permission to use their design. If you will stir my memory I will gladly give credit where credit is due!!!

It was me. Go for it and make some nice gifts. Mine is still marking the fueling spot in the garden.

I do love the birdies, feed them daily and keep plants just right for hummers. The little guys are gone for the season, so its all about the finches for now. Found 50 lb bags of baker grade shelled sunflower seed to keep them fat and happy through the seasons.

You must have typed finches when you really meant squirrels.
