Default I'm back...

Hey everyone! I've been off of the sign making for a little while (started a new job) and just wanted to share a Xmas gift I gave my parents this year. I had the boards cut so size so they would slide in with little hassle and left them bare to be stained in the color of their choice (it was a gift and I didn't want to give it away). I uses poplar because if the unique green shades in it. The small all black bass has a little story behind it but to cut to the chase and make things easier down the road for their grand kids I thought it would be easier to do cut out silhouettes than removing the board to add them each time. I did most of the work with a veining bit or me electric engraver and painted with acrylic. Feel free to comment and ask questions

Nice work and good to see you back Dan.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Good job as usual Dan. I thought maybe you retired with all the sign money.

Trust me I wish that was the case but it's far from the truth
