How's everyone doing out there? My name is Tom and I've been in Building Material Sales and construction trades for about 25 years. Most of that time has been behind a desk, but I do enjoy working with wood. As soon as I have some time I will upload some pics of a few of my projects.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of lettering templates? I don't want basic block letters, though, I'm looking for letters with a little flair. I'm going to be making a family name sign to give to my niece at her wedding. I'm going to be using Bloodwood instead of redwood or cedar. Bloodwood is a South American Hardwood that is very dense w/ a deep red color.

Welcome to the forum Tom. I can't recall ever seeing letter templates like that but there is another option. You can print letters on a computer printer to any font you want and then glue them to your sign board with a water or solvent soluble glue and free hand rout them.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
