You start getting hooked doing things like that, and then the imagination starts doing funny things. Watch out!!

Mike, you back home in the D, yet??

Frank, how do you keep the nice purple color to the cedar, mine always fades to a brick red after the UV rays get to it?

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Herb, I use Rustoleum 2X Glossy Clear Coat to seal the board. I put 2 coats on the back and 4 or 5 on the front.......1 application is praying from left to right, long ways, from one side. Then I do it again from the opposite side.....making sure I get the entire board covered. Between the last 2 applications, I buff the face of the board with #000000 Steel Wool, clean and apply the last coat. Super smooth, glossy and coated. When possible I let it sit out in the un for a couple of hours to help "bake" it in.

Thanks for the compliment Charles.

Dave and Eric at Make a Wood Sign just uploaded a Youtube video at my request to teach us how to make the "O" and "S" letters. A good one to watch.
