Default What Is It??

Had a guy order 4 of these. He was quite pleased the way they turned out. I felt kind of bad not knowing what it was when he showed me a picture of what he wanted, but it made sense once he explained it. Any guesses or is it common knowledge and I'm the dummy?

I got curious. Google is my friend...sometimes.
It's apparently an Eagle; I thought it was a Phoenix.

Dan,

You got too much free time on your hands. You could just go insulate Rick's garage for him and not miss a beat.

Thanx for all the info

My first thought was the German eagle. The German coat of arms is more stylized, but it's actually close to the emblem I remember from a German WWI dress helmet that my grandfather had. Similar to the photo here - felt not steel - with the brass spike on top and the big brass eagle emblem on the front.
