Default Keeping The Wife Happy

Been a lil' sore the last few days with my neck and back. But managed to whip another one out for the wife. So Momma's happy and all is well on the home front and I live to route another day.

This new dwp611 is prety smooth to work with compared to the large plunge router I was using to start with. I see al ot of signs coming out of it.

Got a few ideas running through my head for a future piece. Tell me what ya'll think about this. A 4X4 Truck or Mud Runner and putting Gone Muddin on it. But now picture this if you can. I'm gonna put the word Gone under the truck using the G & the E as the front and rear wheels. and putting tread on the the G & E. The E would be lower case for it's roundness but be the same size as the G.

Yes. I use a hammer and chisel and a small child to keep the wood moving.

On a more serious note; Yes it was done Freehand. When I first started I was using a big Black & Decker plunge router. While heavy and bulky it was getting the job done. This piece here was done with my newly acquired Dewalt dwp611. What a great lil' tool this thing is. And I got to fire the small child. ( "Sorry Garrett; You're on your own.son" )

Looks good Bobby and I like the truck idea. Quite a few of us have the 611 and it's a great little router for light work.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

You're improving by leaps and bounds. And the edge you put on it looks really good. Great work!
