Default Finished Wife's Coffee Sign

Wife's coffee sign has been sitting on the back burner as I pondered what to do with it. My 1st thought was to take my grinder and masonry wheel to it. But she didn't like that idea and the rolling pin and hammer in her hand said I had better come up with something else. So I decided to do it free form and she's happy and I have no lumps. Still need to clear coat it. But out of clear til' Friday. I should be safe til' then.

That brings back memories - I can remember 10 cent coffee and free coffee with a 1.50 full meal.

Back in the day I remember my dad giving me a dollar for lunch - got 2 burgers, fries, and a drink at a sit down place.

HJ

Keep putting them out Bobby

That came out great Bobby Lee. Is the wood Western Red Cedar?

Jim I'm not sure if it's Western Red Cedar or not. It was just an old scrap piece laying in one of the sheds on the property we moved into last winter. A lot of my smaller signs I've been making I believe are tongue and groove pine that I've been trimming the edges off along with the molding edge; also left in one of the sheds. Waiting for Friday or Saturday to get here so I can go get a load of cedar picket fence to work with.

Bobby I think the western cedar fence slats are 5 1/2" wide. I assume you are edge gluing these together to make signs.

Nicely done, Bobby Lee. I especially like the color blend on the word "Coffee."

Very nice, Bobby Lee. I remember 5 cent coffee with free refills. Even if you make it at home now it costs more than that.
