Default Closing an account thread

Maybe the OP that wanted to close his account was to get rid of all the reminder notices he gets in his email account.

You can shut off all this stuff in your setting if you not interested in it!
I get nothing , except email notice if I get a private message
A lot op's subscribe to get notices for a thread and they never cleared it out or or shut it off
You need to take the time to go through all the settings

As Chuck said in his response, the user registered in 2005 and his only post in the last 12 years was to request his account be closed. I don't think he was interested in learning how to adjust his settings.

I wonder why he'd be so concerned about closing his account after he died ? He must have really lost interest in woodworking after he passsed

Seems he had to submit a new password to get on to send the message to close his account.

But I don't know how to unsubscribe either. I know there is a place to unsubscribe from getting notices, but to unsubscribe to the forum??

I hope it was just his router that died.

Herb - I assume there is no way to remove yourself from the forum and would probably have to have one of the admins or possible a moderator (though I'm not sure they have the power) to delete your account.
