Default Cookie updates

Often while browsing the forums, it seems my cookies get updated during the session, changing the display of what are considered "new" posts and "unread" posts. That, in turn, forces me to sift through everything manually/visually, looking at post dates/times.

Is there a way to control this behavior through the profile or other settings?

Ralph,

As with most forum software, these are on a timer that resets itself on a pre-determined amount of time. When this happens you can always go back to the main page of RouterForums.com and click on "Today's Posts" which I think will solve your problem.

Hope this helps

Ralph I have found that going to "New Posts" gets you to the most recent ones except when it resets and dumps ever thing while you are responding to a newbie or the like. Then I just go to introductions and start again. I don't know what the format is that causes the dumping, s but it sure can be frustrating if I am trying welcome several people in one session and come back to the "new posts" and every thing is gone.

Bob do you know why that is?

"Bob do you know why that is?"

Jerry,

If it did not reset, they would be New Posts forever
