Default password Reset

I spent the last two days locked out of the forum, because my password was lost. I attempted the password reset process 7 times.

Ugh.. I got it on the 8th try. Now I would like to reset it to something other than the jumble of crazy key strokes that they send.

Is there a Button to reset password?? I have looked every where. well apparently not. I saw a screen to reset password while traveling through the many attempts to load my new pass word, but can not find my way back. not sure the crazy password saved. So If you don't hear from me in a month or so send me an email at [email protected] and rescue me please.

Scott

Go up to the top right corner of the page to your user name, private messages, and one wil say Account Settings. (I'm on the Classic version). Click on the Account Settings and it will go to another page where you'll see Your Control Panel on the left border and down 3 groups of options is a line with Edit Your Email and Password. I couldn't remember the forum generated password for me either. I copied it into Wordpad and copied and pasted when I needed it but I finally got fed up with that and created something I could remember. Something easy that probably isn't what you use for things like banking would be Scott + your street address or P.O. number and some punctuation mark like exclamation point or question mark or asterix.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

I got punted last week . Have no idea why , but I go to get on the forum as usual, only to see I have to log in again.
And of course my password wouldn’t work anymore , so I had to get a new one .
Not a big deal in the end, but I could imagine it would be very frustrated for some of our other members

I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

Every time I get on here I have to sign back in. I thought that was normal.
(I got back on this message to edit if after I had to sign back in)

There are times that I make a comment on some ones post and I have so much trouble trying to get back in that I just give it up. I don't understand why it has to be so complicated,

Even trying to reply to your private messages , I can not seem to get back in Rick.

David , Iím wondering if you need to save this site in your favourites after you sign in. One time I signed in but saved this site in favourites before I signed in. So every time I wanted to visit this site, I had to resign in .
If that makes any sense

This forum must have the secrets to the atomic bomb on it. Why else would they require such a convoluted security regiment?
