Seldom bother to log in anymore, so when I just I navigate to the "New Posts" page, I get this:

If you're not logged in the software doesn't know which posts are new to you, Bill. Log in and see if you still have that problem.

I notice on the screenshot you provided that you are logged in as "jgapril" - is that your login name or is that someone else?

David... when I do log in, no issues..

not a matter of "new posts" one way or the other,,,, I just find it disturbing that the system see's me as someone else if I'm just psssin' thru.

I don't think your browser, computer, and forum software have become self aware... yet. You have to tell it who you are, otherwise you are just someone else passin' thru.

Now if/when the software allows facial recognition, thumb prints, etc. for identification then maybe you won't have to tell it who you are but at least it treats us all the same. If I don't log in I get the same message.

I can't see the far right of your page as your screenshot doesn't extend far enough.
Is this a personal computer and is there someone in your family that uses that login name on any other website? If yes, then, on the right hand side of the page, when you see this, you will see the option to "log out". Do that, then clear your browser's cache. Then when you log in you should have no problems and it should recognize you and you won't see that message.

Vince... my personel laptop...
No such issues with any other sites I go to...
No one else uses this laptop but me and certainly not under "jgapril" handle
Cache has been cleaned regularly. Issue has existed for last couple of weeks

The issue is not as problem when I LOG in.... when I do log in,,, no problems anywhere
Issue is when I am just browsing, stop in (without logging in) and this system see's me as "jgapril"...an active member in here

when I just browse in I use this link which has worked forever:

https://www.routerforums.com/search....archid=6732546

then I click on "todays posts" which has worked without issues for as long as I can recall
up until recently:
https://www.routerforums.com/search.php?do=getdaily

clicking on the 2nd link, it see's me as "jgapril"....
